Although we have been successful in representing our clients in Long Island New York personally injury, auto accident, work place/premises liability, and medical malpractice cases for over twenty five years, we have never advertised in the Yellow Pages, on television, or elsewhere.
We are selective in who we choose to represent. By design, we are not a “high volume” law firm. We know there are literally hundreds of law firms that might take your New York personal injury or medical malpractice case and who spend enormous amounts of money to make their names available to you.
We don’t and we won’t.
We strive for success and admittedly, we choose our clients with as much consideration as our clients take time to choose us.
Each year, we accept a relatively limited number of cases, ranging from personal injuries caused by car, truck, and motorcycle accidents to medical malpractice injuries caused by the actions of physicians and hospitals. Our highly trained and dedicated staff will gather all relevant documents, medical information, hospital records, and medical reports; they will work with our personal injury attorneys in such matters as obtaining experts, ranging from physicians to accident reconstruction experts.
In our firm, only dedicated personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys will negotiate your case with the insurance company. Ultimately the decision whether to settle a case or take it to trial is a joint collaboration between your attorney and you, the client.
Most of our clients are referred to us by former clients who were satisfied with our work. Our other clients are referred to us by other attorneys and, at times, medical professionals. We have clients in New York City and throughout Long Island’s Nassau and Suffolk Counties. We will travel throughout New York State when the situation arises; we aggressively fought a personal injury case involving a college student who was injured while playing soccer at a college located in western New York, not far from Buffalo.
The information on this site is not meant either to encourage you to or discourage you from pursuing your New York medical malpractice or personal injury claim. We simply provide it as honest, straightforward, and valuable information about the process involved in litigating your personal injury and medical malpractice case.
Sometimes the best thing we can tell you is that your case may not be winnable. At times, we will advise you that you are better off attempting to settle the case yourself, without having to pay an attorney a share of any payment you receive.
This doesn’t mean we can’t help. There are many pitfalls you must avoid in presenting your case, and the information on this site will guide you onto a safer path—one that protects your interests and your rights while others are actively working to limit your compensation.
Do not be fooled; the insurance adjuster who calls you following the accident is not your friend. The adjuster works for the insurance company and has one goal in mind – either to offer you as small a settlement as you will accept or to discourage you altogether from bringing an action.
You should know that if and when a representative from an insurance company calls you, whether the insurance company who insured the vehicle that caused you to suffer injury or your own insurance company, it is lawful for that conversation to be recorded. Oftentimes your openness and honesty regarding the accident can be manipulated in such a way as to seriously damage the prospects for a successful recovery. One of the many tips we stress on this site when handling your personal injury or medical malpractice claim—don’t discuss your case with insurance companies!
Our job, should we decide to work together, is to represent you and you alone—both aggressively and passionately—and to provide you with our best advice and counsel on whether or not you should settle your case or have us present your case to a jury for trial. We handle the insurance companies, we handle the paperwork, you heal.
Before we do anything on your behalf, our New York attorneys give you a thorough, detailed explanation of fees, expenses, court costs, and—when the situation requires—expert witnesses. Together, we can then present and prosecute your claim and achieve the best possible outcome for you.
